Job Description: Temporary Holiday Sales Associate
Job Type: 20 hr/week, Tu-Sat 10am – 5:30 pm, $15 Hourly rate
Reports to: Thrift Boutique Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be flexible. (Part-Time)
- Reports directly to the Store Manager.
- Customer Service: Efficient, warm, welcoming support towards customers and employees on the sales floor and donations.
- Cashier Responsibilities: Cover Cash register during shift, Efficient at handling money and effectively
- Operate register with minimal mistakes
- Receive Donations: be able to accept/ process donations
- Open/Close store: availability to come in prior to opening; some tasks can be done prior to the store opening.
- Answer Phones: Ability to answer business phones and handle calls.
- Ability to lift bags of clothes up to 50 lbs.
- Process clothing efficiently on a daily basis, capable of being self driven
- Tag, price, and stock the floor with new clothing merchandise
- Ability to problem solve and handle mass quantity of donations on a daily and weekly basis
- Organized and fast paced due to the constant influx of donations
Requirements:
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive attitude
- Great customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Retail experience is preferred but not required - Agrees with Hope Rescue Mission’s statement of faith
