Danielle was desperate. She was on the verge of suicide. She had been abused, faced addiction, endured trauma and grief. She thought things would have changed when she met and fell in love with a good man, but his life was cut short in a car accident.
She had to hold it together for their daughter though. She fought fires and found temporary solace. Then her father died of cancer. Devastation sank in. She lost faith in God, became homeless, and once again became an addict. She lost custody of her daughter. “There was nothing left to live for.” Fortunately, Danielle ended up at Providence Treatment Center where she met April, Director of Outreach for Union Gospel Mission Missoula(UGMM). “She saved my life…I would be dead or in a mental institution without Union Gospel Mission.”
Danielle is back with her daughter, has a job, and is about to finish school. “April and UGMM gave me strength and helped me rediscover God. My life is beautiful, and I have my daughter who means absolutely everything to me.” Danielle now volunteers at UGMM.
