The Baler and Sales Associate is responsible for the daily operation of the Baling process and picking up and delivering items for Hope Thrift Boutique customers. Full Time, $16.00/hr
Responsibilities & Job Duties
Drives a box truck for pickup and delivery of Hope Thrift Boutique donations
Open/Close store: availability to come in before opening to accomplish tasks
Supports new and current sales associates and volunteers
Helps manage the Grace House participants, community service participants, and guides them when they are at the store
Assists the Rescued Manager and Baling Lead in daily operations like sorting hardlines and softlines, restocking the sales floor, and assisting customers with the checkout process
Coordinates daily customer service operations (sales, POS system, assists at the donation door if needed)
Adheres to the HRM policies and guidelines
Acts as a representative of all ministries within HRM and sets an example for our staff
Qualifications
Leadership and organizational skills
Interpersonal and communication skills
A positive attitude
Flexibility to work when others call in sick or are a no-show
Ability to handle complaints
Clean Driving record (for insurance) and can drive a box truck
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Retail experience is preferred but not required
Agrees with HRM statement of faith
Experience & Education
Customer service experience
Experience driving a box truck is preferred but not required
Experience driving a forklift is preferred but not required
