Helping people in need to move forward
Hope Rescue Mission has a vast pool of resources to help the homeless, the addicted, and the recovering right here in Missoula. But we can’t do it alone — we rely on the help of our generous Missoula neighbors to make a difference. It is gifts from people like you that enable us to effectively reach out to those in the greater Missoula community.
How Your Gifts are Used
Need to manage an existing recurring donation?
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in… Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV)

Our History
Hope Rescue Mission was founded in 1999 as Union Gospel Mission of Missoula. What began as a simple act of compassion — serving meals to individuals experiencing homelessness beneath the Higgins Street Bridge — quickly grew into something far greater. As needs in the community increased, the ministry expanded to include a day center and later a men’s recovery program, providing not just meals, but meaningful pathways toward stability and transformation.
More than two decades later, now known as Hope Rescue Mission, we continue to serve those facing homelessness and crisis in Missoula and beyond. Through Hope Outreach, 549-HOPE, Hope Thrift Boutique, and The Grace House, we meet both immediate and long-term needs with care and dignity.
While our ministries have grown, our vision remains unchanged: to help people move forward, restore hope to those who feel hopeless, and see lives transformed through faith, community, and opportunity for lasting change.
